3D Art Lead

Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
Type: Full-Time

Paradoxum Games is looking for a 3D Art Lead to support the Head of Art in driving production, maintaining quality, and helping manage a growing team of artists across live-service content.

This role is a mix of hands-on creation, team leadership, and production ownership. You’ll work closely with the Head of Art to ensure our environments, props, and cosmetic content meet a high visual bar while shipping consistently in a fast-paced live-ops environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Head of Art in executing the overall visual direction across environments and assets
  • Help manage and mentor a team of 3D artists (environment, props, and outsource/contractors)
  • Review assets and provide clear, actionable feedback on modeling, texturing, lighting, and polish
  • Own day-to-day art production workflows and ensure tasks are clearly scoped and delivered on time
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production to align art with gameplay and technical needs
  • Help enforce and improve pipelines, naming conventions, and optimization standards
  • Identify risks early (quality, scope, deadlines) and proactively communicate solutions
  • Assist with onboarding artists and maintaining consistent quality across the team
  • Ensure assets meet performance targets and are optimized for a live-service game
  • Participate in playtesting and iterate based on feedback, analytics, and player sentiment

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience creating 3D environments and props (modeling, texturing, lighting)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience—mentoring artists, leading small teams, or owning areas of production with accountability for quality and delivery
  • Proficiency in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar tools
  • Experience working in-engine (Roblox Studio or similar)
  • Ability to give clear, constructive feedback and elevate other artists’ work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or live-ops production environment
  • Strong understanding of optimization and performance constraints
  • Solid communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable balancing quality with production timelines

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing outsourced artists or external vendors
  • Experience building or improving art pipelines and documentation
  • Familiarity with stylized art pipelines and working within technical constraints

Compensation
