Senior Software Engineer, Content

Paradoxum Games is looking for a software engineer to help us bring more content to our players! As a software engineer you will be helping us create new towers, enemies, units, and come up with additional content to bring out to millions of people that play Tower Defense Simulator. You’ll be reporting to our Content team, and if you’re motivated by bringing out brand new fresh, and innovative game-play content to millions of players, this’ll be the job for you!


You’re a good fit if you:

  • Required: Have excellent written / verbal communication skills in English
  • Required: Familiar with one or more programming languages such as Lua/Luau, JavaScript, Java, C++, or others
  • Required: Have strong Luau / Roblox engine experience and have shipped Roblox content/features
  • Communicate clearly in English with engineers and designers alike
  • Have experience with version control (Git) and modern Roblox tooling (Rojo, Lune)
  • Familiar with modern ui/game frameworks such as Knit, React/Roact, and Fusion
  • Are curious about new technologies / features, and are willing to implement them
  • Love making engaging gameplay and are motivated by delivering fresh content at scale

You’ll be doing:

  • Write clean, high-quality Luau gameplay content, including new towers, enemies, and units for live games.
  • Clean up legacy code, fix bugs, document features, and review peer code.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and cross-disciplinary teams to ship content to millions of players.
  • Build polished, intuitive user experiences with a focus on performance and player engagement.
  • Thoroughly testing and deploying to millions of players with minimal bugs
  • Write unit and integration tests, thoroughly test systems, and deploy updates with minimal bugs.

Bonus points:

  • Have experience working in a self-managed or remote environment
  • Have existing Roblox experiences that you have designed and programmed
  • Have an understanding of the Roblox platform and player motivations
  • Have experience contributing to the Open Source community
  • Have existing code snippets of your current work, either on GitHub or provided as files
    • UI/UX Design
    • Gameplay Design
    • Audio / Visual Design
    • 3D Modelling / Texturing

Compensation:

$85,000 $100,000 a year

$75,000 $90,000 a year
